FROM THE EDITOR
Writers Depository in association with James Ivan Kingsley, acquisitions editor, have established a traditional online publication with the intent to promote traditionally published authors and the highest caliber of writing. Internet SEO writing, along with the vanity press model that most authors today use to get published, have cheapened the art of great writing. E-LIT 1ST magazine aims to class up our industry, and give back to true authors the esteem they have lost to a virtual world of writer wannabes.
Only the absolute best literary talent can get you published in E-LIT 1ST magazine. Not only do we refuse to publish vanity press authors, Internet-only authors and first-time authors, we also send back angry e-mails to those scurrilous troublemakers, warning them to stay out of our industry.
We are a traditional publication, not an online magazine. While we do publish our material on a website, because of the rigorous editorial process, we are considered a traditional print magazine. In addition to publishing our journal online we also print our magazine for a circulation of over 100,000 strictly intellectual readers. Our publication is the first print magazine to have a reader-screening process where subscribers must meet criteria in order to receive the magazine through the mail.
It is our hope that the success of E-LIT 1ST magazine will be a victory not just for James Ivan Kingsley; but for the entire publishing business, whose reputation is currently being chipped away by pretenders. If you agree with us we would like to hear from you in the “reader mail” section of this magazine.
Regards,
James Ivan Kingsley
